Underneath the Sky

Sitting on the grass,

watching stars above

Thinking ’bout my family,

thinking ‘bout their love

The world keeps moving,

but I’m standing still

Wishing I could go back,

just for a little while

And I don’t say

much, but I feel so

much

Sometimes I miss the days when life was just enough

I look up at the sky,

hoping you can hear

All the little things I wish

I could say right here

Trying to find a little peace inside Thinking ’bout the people who

made me who I am Wishing I could hold the whole world

in my hands And if tomorrow takes us far away

I’ll still remember every yesterday

I’m just sitting in the grass,

watching time go by With a thousand little thoughts underneath this sky

I remember laughing,

when the days were bright Now I’m chasing memories in the middle

of the night I wish that time would slow down for a

while

Just to see my family’s faces and their smiles (hmmm)

Maybe one day we’ll all be together

Making new memories that last forever Until that day,

I’ll look up high

And send my little wishes to the sky
