Bridge Toss Delight

Saturday sun and a rope in my hand

Head to the bridge with a bucket and plan

Tie up the magnet,

give it a swing

Wonder what the water’s gonna bring

Cast it out, let it drop Feel that tug and don’t you

stop Pull it in,

hear everybody say

What’d we find today?

Magnet fishing, throw it in Pull it back and see what spins

Old bike bell or a rusty chain Treasure hiding underneath the rain

Magnet fishing, round and round Find a little history underground Clean that

river, have some fun Cast it out till the day is done (woohoo)

Got a bent-up sign and a toolbox latch

A mystery hook and a license plate patch

Nothing fancy but it feels brand new Every strange old thing has

a story too

Cast it out, let it drop Feel that tug and don’t you

stop Pull it in,

hear everybody say

What’d we find today?

If it’s sharp, set it aside

Keep the water clean and wide

Bring your friends, bring a line

One more cast before sunset shines Magnet fishing,

throw it in Pull it back and see what spins Old bike

bell or a rusty chain Treasure hiding underneath the rain Magnet fishing,

round and round Find a little history underground Clean that river,

have some fun Cast it out till the day is done

(ha ha ha)
