Mugs and Mischief

Sunlight's dancing on the kitchen floor

You're still messy-haired behind the door

I pour two cups,

you start to smile Let's just sit and forget the time for

a while (mmm-hmm)

You say my sweater looks a little oversized But there is a

sparkle hiding in your eyes

Is that a compliment,

or are you teasing me?

Either way, it's the sweetest way to be

Coffee and compliments to start the day (la la la) You chase

all the little clouds away

With a laugh so bright

and a look so sweet

You make my morning feel complete

You take a sip and mimic how I talk

Then suggest we go for a silly walk

You say my laugh is your favorite tune

Oh, you're sweet-talking me way too soon (giggle)

You say my sweater looks a little oversized But there is a

sparkle hiding in your eyes

Is that a compliment,

or are you teasing me?

Either way, it's the sweetest way to be

Coffee and compliments to start the day

(la la la) You chase all the little clouds away

With a laugh so bright

and a look so sweet

You make my morning feel complete

We don't need a fancy avenue

Just a simple bench and a perfect view

With every tease and every little glance

We're spinning in our own sweet dance (ooh-ooh-ooh)

Coffee and compliments to start the day (la la la) You chase

all the little clouds away

With a laugh so bright

and a look so sweet

You make my morning feel complete

Just coffee and compliments...

With you...

(mmm, so

sweet)
