Yeah…
(Yeah,
yeah) SL to the UK,
man.
Sierra Leone, that's where the story began.
South London, that's where I learned to be a man.
Peckham days…
Woolwich nights…
Aylesbury State, had to learn to survive.
I never told them everything I've been through.
But every scar on my soul tells the truth.
(On God… real pain… 4L…)
I came from SL,
now I'm deep in the ends,
Lost a couple smiles,
had to learn who my friends.
2016, had my girl,
changed my life,
Now I grind through the pain just to make sure they're alright.
My kids are my heart,
put my soul in these songs,
Had to carry that weight when the road got long.
From Peckham to Woolwich,
had to fight through the rain,
South London made me,
but my kids keep me sane.
(My babies, my babies!) (That's my reason,
no lie!) 808s hit hard,
but there's pain inside,
SL in my blood,
got my pride worldwide.
Came from Sierra Leone with a dream in my chest,
New country, new struggles,
had to give it my best.
Didn't know what the future had in store for me,
Then my first daughter came in 2016.
I was young, still learning how to stand on my feet,
Now I had a little princess depending on me.
When I looked in her eyes,
saw a reason to try,
Had to put my pride aside,
had to reach for the sky.
(That's my baby!)
First time being daddy,
man, that feeling was deep,
Little hands, little smile,
made it hard to sleep.
All the pain I was holding,
I kept locked away,
Just to dream of a future where she'd be okay.
I ain't perfect, I'm a father still learning the game,
Had to grow up quick,
life was never the same.
Every sacrifice I make,
every tear that I hide,
It's for the little ones I carry deep inside.
If the whole world turns its back,
I'm still there,
If they ever feel alone,
they'll know Daddy cares.
I might not have it all,
but my love stays true,
Every prayer that I make,
every win is for you.
(For my children!)
(Anything for my babies!) I want to give them the things I
never had,
Make them feel safe when the world gets bad.
Break every cycle, let the family tree grow,
Give them more than survival,
give them somewhere to go.
And I know that this life puts a strain on a man,
Sometimes things don't work out the way that you planned.
But whatever I'm facing,
whatever I go through,
There's a piece of my heart in each one of you.
My daughters, my children,
my blood, my name,
When I look at my life,
you're the light in the rain.
From the struggles of SL to these London streets,
You're the biggest blessing that this life gave me.
(Love you forever!
No matter what!) I
came from SL, now I'm deep in the ends,
Lost a couple smiles,
had to learn who my friends.
2016, had my girl,
changed my life,
Now I grind through the pain just to make sure they're alright.

put my soul in these songs,
Had to carry that weight when the road got long.
From Peckham to Woolwich,
had to fight through the rain,

but my kids keep me sane.
(SL!
South London!) (My babies,
my reason!) For my babies.
SL
to South London. Always.
