(hummmmm) The heavens speak where human voices fade,
And signs unfold across the troubled sky;
The Bridegroom calls through darkness unafraid,
While hearts must choose to hear His voice or die.
The lamps are raised; the waiting virgins stand,
Some filled with oil,
some empty in the night;
The wise receive the call with open hand,
And follow where the Lamb reveals the light.
The nations shake; the old foundations move,
The proud discover strength cannot remain;
Yet judgment comes not empty of His love,
For truth uncovers wounds that must be slain.
The Shepherd leads His flock to living streams,
He knows their names and gathers those who hear;
He wipes away the sorrow of their dreams,
And makes the path of everlasting life clear.
The words of God are sharper than a blade,
They search the hidden chambers of the heart;
They show the place where falsehood has been made,
And call the willing soul to leave its part. (ooh-ahh)
The Urim shines, the sacred light appears,
The breastplate rests above the faithful heart;
God’s truth is not concealed by human fears,
Nor can one jot or tittle pass apart.
Blessed are those invited to His feast,
Whose garments shine through truth and mercy’s flame;
They follow Him from greatest unto least,
And find their life within the Lamb’s own name. (amen)
