where the whole crew live

front door open, everybody outside pull up late,

still got somewhere to slide one more drink,

pull up dusty, windows down,

what's good somebody grilling like they always said they would kids running

wild, auntie talking shit uncle got the cooler and he ain't sharing

it somebody showed up with a truck full of people somebody's cousin

brought somebody illegal not talking warrants,

i'm talking too much liquor five minutes later everybody getting thicker

old truck parked crooked across the whole lane somebody yelling,

“who's got jumper cables again?” dog took off running with somebody's shoe

knows whose dog, but

everybody knew

somebody cooking, somebody bringing plates somebody said they coming but they running

late two cases deep when they finally arrive walk through the door

like they been there all night cards on the table,

jokes getting reckless somebody's auntie got everybody breathless little cousin dancing,

acting way too grown grandma on the couch telling everybody go home

but nobody leaving, that's how this shit goes one conversation turns into

ten more sun coming up and we're still in the yard somebody

yelling, “damn, y'all really partying hard!”
