(yeah...) I been fighting with my head since I was old enough to
know That the voice inside my skull wasn't ever gonna go It
tells me I'm nothing,
tells me I'm a joke Tells me every good thing in my
life is gonna go up in smoke I don't talk about it
much 'cause I don't know how to start But it's sitting in
my chest and it's heavy on my heart So if you see
me smiling, don't believe the face I'm just really good at hiding
what I can't replace
Is this me?
Is this who
I'm supposed to be?
The one that's always hiding what's underneath?
Is this real?
Or is this just a show?
I don't know who I am but I'm putting it on hold
Is this me?
They say trust is the foundation,
you can't love without it So I wrote down every name that
I thought I could count on And I stared at the paper,
couldn't find mine Guess I never learned to trust myself all this
time
I been let down so many times I don't know how to
believe That anybody sticks around when it's hard to be around me
So I keep my circle small and I keep my guard up
high And I watch everybody leave 'fore they even say goodbye
Is this me?
Is this who
I'm supposed to be?
The one that's always hiding what's underneath?
Is this real?
Or is this just a show?
I don't know who I am but I'm putting it on hold
Is this me?
I been looking in the mirror trying to find a familiar face
But every time I look I see somebody out of place I
don't know when I lost him,
don't know where he went I just know that I'm tired of
pretending that I'm content I been asking all the questions that nobody
wants to hear Like "what am I supposed to do?" and "why
am I still here?"
I don't got the answers,
I don't got the plan But I know I'm still looking for
the person that I am
Is this me?
Is this who
I'm supposed to be?
The one that's always hiding what's underneath?
Is this real?
Or is this just a show?
I don't know who I
am but I'm putting it on hold Is this me?
Is this me? ...I don't know.
(ahhhh) But I'm still looking.
