New Phone Who Dis

(shh) Told the barber I got signed and he cut me for free,

Then the whole shop's got a cousin with a mixtape for me.

Auntie sent a prayer,

then a Venmo request,

Dude from my old job says he "always knew I'd be the

best." Said we went to school together,

bro, I was homeschooled,

Now every group chat I'm in is a family reunion pool.

Said we ran together,

bro, I ran alone,

Now my phone's a reunion and I'm not even home.

New phone,

who dis? (Who dis?)

Everybody's "family" when the check's got digits (digits) New phone,

who dis? (Who dis?) Love you,

love you, from a distance,

with the volume on silent.

Grandma's the one number I pick up on the first ring,

Said "Baby, stay humble," and I heard everything.

Rest of y'all: "Hey,

it's me, we should catch up and chill," Catch up to what?

I've been running, you've been standing still.

Circle's small as a quarter but it's solid as steel,

My mama, my dog,

and the ones who kept it real.

So say your name,

say your reason, say it slow,

Then I'll tell you what I tell everybody: no.

New phone, who dis?

(Who dis?) Everybody's "family" when the check's got digits (digits) New phone,

who dis? (Who

dis?) Love you, love you,

from a distance, with the volume on silent. (no)
