Denmark’s in trouble, got secrets in the air,

Everybody’s acting, but nobody plays fair.

Hamlet’s acting crazy, got a plan in his mind,

Let’s break down Act Two,

see what we find!

Polonius sends Reynaldo to spy on his son,

Checking up on Laertes,

making sure he’s having fun.

Then Ophelia comes running,

looking scared and distressed,

Says Hamlet came to see her,

looking totally obsessed. His clothes were all messy,

his face was full of pain,

He grabbed her by the wrist,

then left without explaining.

Polonius thinks love has made Hamlet insane,

So he tells the king and queen,

trying to explain!

Something’s rotten, something’s not right,

Hamlet’s got a secret,

and he’s ready to fight.

Everybody’s watching, everybody’s got a plan,

Trust is disappearing throughout the Danish land!

King Claudius and Gertrude call Rosencrantz and Guildenstern,

Two of Hamlet’s old friends,

hoping they’ll confirm Why Hamlet’s acting strange,

what’s going through his head,

They want to find the truth in every word he’s said.

Meanwhile, Polonius comes with his theory in hand,

Says Ophelia’s rejection is what Hamlet can’t stand.

He promises to test it,

see if his theory is true,

But Hamlet knows they’re watching every move that he do!

Then a group of actors comes to Elsinore’s hall,

Hamlet loves their talent,

gets an idea from it all.

He asks one actor to perform a speech with emotion,

Then plans a play to expose the king’s guilty devotion.

He’ll recreate a murder just like the ghost described,

Watch Claudius’s reaction, see if guilt is inside.

If the king looks nervous,

then Hamlet might know That his uncle killed his father,

and the truth will show!

Something’s rotten, something’s not right,

Hamlet’s got a secret,

and he’s ready to fight.

Everybody’s watching, everybody’s got a plan,

Trust is disappearing throughout the Danish land!

Hamlet’s still uncertain, doesn’t know what to believe,

But he’s got one big plan,

and he’s ready to achieve.

The play will test Claudius,

expose what he has done,

Act Two comes to an end,

but the drama’s just begun!
