The Great King (Psalm 24)

The wide earth is His,

Every creature, breath, and land,

All belong to God.

Built upon the seas,

Carved above the crashing waves,

He made the world stand.

Lift your heads, old gates!

Fling wide open, ancient doors!

Let the Great King in.

Who is this Great King?

He is strong and terrible,

Mighty in the fight.

Who may scale the hill?

Who can face the Lord of hosts,

In His holy place?

Hands washed white as snow,

Hearts that shun the phantom gods,

Keeping true to Him.

Levate il capo,

Porte antiche s’aprano, Entri il gran Re.

Chi

è questo Re?

Ei n’è forte e terribil,

Sommo in battaglia.

Blessings will descend,

Saved and vindicated souls,

By their Savior’s grace.

Jacob’s chosen kin,

Turning from the dark to find,

The Almighty’s face.

Rise up, ancient doors!

Let the King of glory pass,

Through the holy arch.

Who is this Great King?

The Lord of the universe,

He rules over all.

Levate, o porte! Tragitti il Re di gloria

L’arco sacrato.

Chi è ’l gran Rege?

Il Signor de l’universo

Che tutto regge

Rise up, ancient doors!

Let the King of glory pass,

Through the holy arch.

Who is this Great King?

The Lord of the universe,

He rules over all. (mmmm)
