(purrrr) A square of morning sun across the floor

I stretch my paws and yawn a little more

The wooden stairs are warm beneath my feet

Watching birds outside from my window seat

A cardboard box is waiting in the hall

I bat my favorite fuzzy paper ball (meow)

It’s a cat day,

Afternoon arrives with crunchy salmon treats

Curling in a circle on the flannel sheets

Tail is slowly twitching to the garden breeze
