Chasing Wilderdust
(aaah-ooh) (let's
run away tonight) Keys on the counter,
shoes in our hands
Tired of waiting on carefully drawn-out plans You catch my glance with
that spark in your eye
Saying let's see how fast we can fly
Out on the highway,
windows rolled down
Leaving the hum of this sleepy old town
Feel the sweet summer air rushing in (rushing in) This is where
all of the wild things begin
Hearts beating fast to a brand new beat
No turning back from this reckless street
We are two hearts on the run
Chasing the moon till we find the sun
Laughing so hard that we lose our breath
Living the life that we haven't met
Oh, take my hand and just let it go
Wherever the open road wants us to go
(hearts on the run)
Radio humming our favorite song
Singing the words even when they're all wrong (haha) You pull off
the road by an empty shoreline Your fingers gently tangling with mine
Barefoot on gravel, carefree and proud
Spinning around while we're laughing out loud
Feel the sweet summer air rushing in (rushing in) This is the
freedom we wanted to win
Hearts beating fast to an endless beat
World underneath our adventurous feet
We are two hearts on the run
Chasing the moon till we find the sun
Laughing so hard that we lose our breath
Living the life that we haven't met
Oh, take my hand and just let it go
Wherever the open road wants us to go
(hearts on the run)
No map in our pockets,
no clock on the wall
Just your steady heartbeat breaking my fall
If morning comes knocking,
we'll tell it to wait
Tonight we are writing our own little fate
(holding on
tight)
We are two hearts on the run!
Chasing the moon till we find the sun
Laughing so hard that we lose our breath
Living the life that we haven't met
Oh, take my hand and just let it go
Wherever the open road wants us to go
(hearts on the run,
oh yeah) We'll never slow down!
Just you and me...
(two hearts on the run) (mm-mm-hmmm)
