Purple Door

One year on Halloween,

Something strange came to be…

I was walking down the street,

When something called to me…

The pumpkins glowed, the moon was bright,

I heard a noise that night.

I turned around, but no one stood there,

Just a cold breeze in the air.

I started walking a little fast,

Hoping that the sound had passed.

Then I saw a purple light,

Shining in the middle of the night.

It was Halloween, Halloween,

The weirdest night I'd ever seen!

Running through the dark so fast,

Wondering how long this would last.

Halloween, Halloween,

Nothing was the way it seemed.

I thought I knew what I would find,

But I was wrong that night.

The purple light began to glow,

Then suddenly it started to grow.

A little door appeared from the ground,

And I heard a strange little sound.

I opened it just a tiny bit,

And something inside said,

"Come in!" I probably should've walked away,

But I stepped inside anyway.

One year on Halloween…

I found a secret place…

And when I turned around…

I couldn't

find my way…

But then I heard my friends outside,

Calling out my name.

I ran toward the glowing light,

And everything went back to the same.

It was Halloween, Halloween,

The weirdest night I'd ever seen!

Running through the dark so fast,

Laughing like we lost our minds,

(hahaha) Halloween, Halloween,

Now it's just a memory!

But every year when October comes,

I wonder if it'll happen again…
