(haha) I heard a little something on the roof last night Sounded like
somebody having trouble getting right I looked outside and what did I
see? A big red coat stuck in my Christmas tree
I heard a voice say,
“Ho, ho, ho!” Then something landed with a great big thud below
I ran downstairs and there he stood Santa Claus himself looking mighty
good
Santa’s coming down the chimney Better hide those cookies,
honey
He’s coming down the chimney tonight
He’s got a sack on his shoulder
And he’s getting a little older
But he’s still gonna make things right
Santa’s coming down the chimney
And I think he wants some company So leave a little something
by the tree
He’ll bring you something nice
If you’ve been good all year
And if you haven’t… well,
we’ll see!
He asked me where the kitchen was I said,
“Santa, why?”
He said, “I’ve been flying all night And I’m a hungry guy”
He found the cookies on the counter And he found the milk
beside
Then he looked at me and said “Son,
you got anything fried?”
He checked his list
He checked it twice
He looked at me and said,
“You’ve been…
mostly nice.” I said,
“Mostly?”
He said,
“Don’t argue, son.”
Then he grabbed another cookie And said,
“I’ve got work to get done.”
He climbed back up the chimney
With a belly full of pie
Then he stopped and looked at me
And winked one sleepy eye
He said, “Merry Christmas,
Kenji
Keep singing those country songs”
Then he disappeared into the night And I heard those reindeer moving
on
Santa’s coming down the chimney
Better hide those cookies,
honey He’s coming down the chimney tonight
He’s got a sack on his shoulder And he’s getting a little
older But he’s still gonna make things right
Santa’s coming down the chimney And I think he’s doing pretty well
So Merry Christmas, everybody And I’ll see you next year!
Ho, ho, ho…
Now where’d I put those cookies?
