Santa checked his list at half past nine
Said, “Everything's looking pretty fine”
Then he got to Texas and he shook his head “Somebody's been
doing Christmas shopping again” There's a big ol' toolbox,
a new pair of boots
A barbecue pit and a pair of spurs too
A twelve-point buck ain't gonna fit in the sleigh And there's a
horse trailer sitting in the driveway
He looked at Rudolph,
then he looked at me
Said, “Son, I think we've got a problem,
you see”
Santa's gonna need a bigger truck That sleigh ain't got enough room
to haul this stuff He's got coolers,
guitars, and a smoker out back
And somebody ordered a brand-new Cadillac The reindeer are tired and the
elves are stuck
Santa's gonna need a bigger truck (yeah!)
Mrs. Claus said, “Honey,
don't forget the ranch” There's a new pair of jeans and a
feed-store advance
Somebody wants a six-foot Christmas tree Somebody else wants a big-screen TV
Santa said, “I've never seen a list this long” I said,
“Welcome to Texas, Santa.
Something's gone wrong” He pulled out his phone and called the North
Pole
Said, “Tell the elves we're gonna need another load”
Santa's gonna need a bigger truck That sleigh ain't got enough room
to haul this stuff He's got coolers,
guitars, and a smoker out back
And somebody ordered a brand-new Cadillac The reindeer are tired and the
elves are stuck
Santa's gonna need a bigger truck
Well, Rudolph got a hitch put on his harness
Dasher learned to pull a trailer through the darkness
Santa traded eight reindeer for a diesel crew
And said, “Merry Christmas,
boys—I've got work to do!”
Eight-point buck? Load it up!
Barbecue pit? Load it up!
Pair of boots?
Load it up!
What about that horse trailer? (ha!)
...Santa just sighed.
Santa's gonna need a bigger truck That sleigh ain't got enough room
to haul this stuff He's got coolers,
guitars, and a smoker out back And somebody still wants that brand-new
Cadillac The North Pole called and they're running out of luck
So Santa's gonna need—
A bigger truck! Yeah,
Santa... You're gonna need a bigger truck!
