walk through the gates where the daylight dies,
Black cloak dragging while the shadows come alive,
No crown in the sky,
but the dead know mine,
I'm the king of the depths where the lost souls reside.
Three-headed guardian standing at the gate,
No one gets through when I seal their fate,
You can run from the world,
you can challenge your fate,
But everybody eventually arrives at the gates.
Gold in the darkness,
riches buried below, While the living chase the things they already know,
I don't need Olympus,
I built my own throne,
Got an empire underneath everything that they own.
Lower... Lower... (shhhh) Hear the echoes in the stone,
Colder... Colder...
Now you're standing in my home.

King of the dead,
ruler underneath, Black crown,
dark throne, shadow at my feet,

but you can't escape,
When the Underworld calls,
everybody meets their fate.

I know every secret that the surface conceals,
Every promise that was broken,
every wound that still heals,
While they're chasing immortality,
I'm counting what remains,
'Cause time is the one kingdom nobody can escape.
Cerberus growling while the river runs black,
Crossing Styx knowing there ain't no turning back,
I don't chase the living,
I just wait for the fact,
That every single heartbeat eventually goes flat.
But don't call me evil just because I'm below,
Every kingdom needs somebody to maintain the flow,
I keep order in the place that the living don't know,
While Olympus gets the glory,
I'm the one running the throne.
