Hunter's Dinks Anthem

Down by the river at the break of day,

Hunter’s Dinks casts his line away.

Every fish he reels is little and bright,

He grins and lets ’em go back with delight.

Oh, Hunter’s Dinks, luck runs small,

Tiny splashes answer every call.

Still he laughs beneath the sky so wide,

Happy for the journey,

not the size of the prize. (hahaha)

Through the pines he wanders,

boots on the trail,

Watching rabbits hop

and quail tails sail.

He lowers his camera and takes the shot instead,

Collecting memories

to keep in his head.

Oh, Hunter’s Dinks, luck runs small,

Tiny splashes answer every call.

Yet every sunset finds him singing free:

“The great outdoors are enough for me.”
