Healing Through Years

I still remember that day at the park,

Never knew you’d leave this kind of mark.

Our first movie, talking all night,

Something about you just felt right.

Then your birthday came,

I saw your smile,

Heard you laugh and stayed for a while.

Jaylynn, that was when I fell more for you,

And somehow

I knew this feeling was true.

Two years later, I’m still choosing you,

After everything that we’ve been through.

We had our highs,

we had our lows,

We lost our way but still found home.

We both made mistakes along the way,

But somehow we found another day.

If I could go back and start again,

I’d choose you from beginning to end.

I remember your dad didn’t want you to date,

He thought maybe we should have to wait.

But look at us now,

look how things changed,

He’s dancing with me,

laughing like we’re family.

Making TikToks and having some fun,

Crazy to think how far we’ve come.

Two years passed and we’re still right here,
