We left the smoke behind us,
With Troy burning at our backs.
A fleet of battered ships,
And everything we have in packs.
My father stands beside the mast,
My son looks to the sea.
The sacred gods of fallen Troy Are sailing here with me.
We touched the shores of Thrace,
But something told us,
“Go.”
We sailed to sacred Delos,
Still searching for the road.
Raise the sails, Leave the shore.
We cannot be what we were before.
Troy is gone. Our home is gone.
But still… We sail on.
WE ARE THE EXILES!
Children of a fallen land!
WE ARE THE EXILES!
Still together, still we stand!
Across the endless water,
Beyond the setting sun,
We carry Troy within our hearts Until our journey’s done.
WE ARE THE EXILES!
Wherever fate may lead— If the gods have marked a road… Then
that is where we’ll be.
We sailed to Crete believing We had finally found our home.
We raised our walls beneath the sun,
And thought we were no longer lost.
But sickness filled the streets,
And darkness crossed the land.
Then came the sacred vision: “You have misunderstood the plan.”
Our ancient gods revealed the truth— Our fathers came from Italy.
The land we seek is further west.
That is where we’re meant to be.
We passed through haunted islands,
Where the Harpies filled the air.
Their cries became a warning: “Your hunger waits you there.”
We saw strange shores and distant kings,
We prayed beneath strange skies.
Everywhere we searched for home… Every road said,
“Not this time.”
WE ARE THE EXILES!
Let the whole world hear our name!
WE ARE THE EXILES!
We survived the Trojan flame!
We carry every fallen soul,
Every memory, every scar.
We may have lost our homeland— But we know now where we
are bound. WE ARE THE EXILES!
Raise the sails and let them fly!
Italy waits beyond the sea— So we will sail— Or we will
die.
The wind grows colder.
The sea grows dark.
The fleet moves west beneath the stars.
My father looks toward the horizon.
I hear the sailors cry— “Storm!” Lightning tears across the sky.
The waves rise high— And somewhere beyond the darkness— The gods are
waiting.
