I found him sitting in the dark,
A fading fire, a broken heart.
No crown of gold,
no throne below, Just tired eyes that wouldn’t glow.
I saw the scars beneath his skin,
The wars he fought,
the places he’d been.
I thought the Devil couldn’t feel,
Until I watched his wounds turn real.
Maybe monsters learn to hide Every wound they keep inside.
Maybe underneath the hate,
There’s a heart that learned too late.
The Devil bleeds too,
The Devil breaks too.
He can carry all the pain
That the rest of us go through.
The Devil cries too,
When there’s nothing left to lose.
I thought he had no heart at all… But the Devil bleeds
too.
He carried every name they gave,
Every sinner that he couldn’t save.
Every prayer that turned to dust,
Every promise drowned in rust.
He wore his darkness like a crown,
Never let the weakness show.
But underneath the blackened skin,
I saw the man he could have been.
Maybe evil isn’t born,
Maybe something broke before.
Maybe every heart can change When there’s still a spark beneath the
pain.
I saw heaven in his eyes,
Buried underneath the lies.
I saw everything he’d lost,
Every soul that had a cost.
And for one moment in the night,
The darkness couldn’t hide the light.
He wasn’t fire, he wasn’t flame,
He was just someone crushed beneath his name.
He can bleed! He can break!
He can drown In his mistakes!
He can fall! He can crawl!
He can lose
Everything!
The Devil bleeds too,
The Devil breaks too.
He can carry all the pain That the rest of us go
through. The Devil cries too,
When there’s nothing left to lose.
Maybe we’re not so different… Maybe I bleed too.
The Devil bleeds too,
And now I finally know the truth.
I spent my whole life fearing him… When I was only fearing
you.
The fire fades, The darkness moves.
The scars remain, But so do you.
Maybe monsters aren’t born… Maybe they’re wounded too.
