Something Made New

I was lost,

I was broken, I was running from truth,

Then I heard about a love that could make something new.

Not the love of this world,

not a temporary high—

The love of a Father

who would give His Son to die.

For God so loved the world,

that's where it began,

Not because we were worthy,

but because of His plan.

He saw every sinner,

every heart full of pain,

Every soul in the darkness,

every life in the rain.

He could've left us alone with the choices we'd made,

But love sent a Savior when the debt had been paid.

He gave His only Son,

yeah, He gave everything,

So whoever believes could have life through Him.

Something new, He's making something new (He's making something new)

Out of the ashes,

He's making something new Every heart He restores,

every life He renews

Something new...
