(woo-hoo!) My neighbor says I'm getting old,
My doctor says I should take it slow,
But somebody put a quarter in the jukebox And now I've got
somewhere to go! (ha-ha!) I found my jacket from '59,
It still fits me—well,
mostly fine,
My knees complained when I hit the floor,
But they started dancing by the second chorus!
I'm a rockin' chair rocket,
Old enough to know better,
Young enough to do it anyway! (yeah!)
Got a little gray in my hair,
Got a little gasoline left in my heart,
And I'm wasting none of it today!
My sweetheart said, "You better behave." I said,
"Honey, that's a promise I can't save." (uh-uh)
She rolled her eyes and grabbed my hand,
Then danced with me like we were seventeen again.
Doctor said, "Rest!" I said,
"After the show!" He said,
"You're crazy!"
I said, "I know!" (hoo-ray!)
I'm a rockin' chair rocket,
Still causing trouble everywhere I go,
If the wheels start squeaking,
Just turn the music up some more! (owww!)
(rock it!) (ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!)
