I watched them gather underneath the light Moving in circles through the

night Two legs beneath them,

eyes that shine Thousands of forms in endless lines They touch their

faces They make strange sounds They build their homes Then tear them

down I watched them laugh I watched them cry I watched them

hold each other tight Kra’then… Strange creatures…

They speak in sounds I cannot read They chase their wants They

fear their needs They look at stars The way I do… But

when they look up… They never see me.

STRANGE CREATURES! What kind of life have I discovered?

KRAAAAA’THENNNNN! STRANGE CREATURES! They hurt each other Then call it love

They build their walls They draw their lines They claim this world

As if it’s theirs Kra’thennnn… What are you?

One holds a smaller one to its chest Another stands beside the

rest Their faces change when someone leaves Their bodies shake when someone

grieves I cannot understand their pain They lose each other Then love

again They know the stars They know the sea They know the

world… But not what watches silently.

Shaaa’rinnn… They speak in noise.

Voraaaai… They walk on two… Ael’oraaaa… They call it love… Nûraiii… They

fear the dark… And yet… They still look up.

KRAAAAA’THENNNNNNN! STRANGE CREATURES! I have never seen a life like

you!

see…

Something strange… Something beautiful… Something afraid… Something I cannot understand.
