Door swings open, somebody yells my name Bartender points,

already pouring the same Three hands up from the back of the

room Chair slides over like they knew I'd come through “Where the

hell you been?” — “Long fucking week.” Drink hits the table before

I find my seat Guy by the jukebox says,

“You picking tonight?” Yeah—move over.

I know what they like.

One at the bar

Two by the wall

Three more coming Make room for 'em all I didn't call ahead

Didn't need to—
