I try to speak
But the silence cuts deeper than knives (hmmmmm)
I know their tired of me
But I’m tired of myself
The one nobody wanted
Everything I do feels like a sin
Breaking in the inside
Try to understand the life I’m living in
They think I’m strong
But I’m breaking every night
They think therapy is working
But it’s teaching me to be silent
Oh,
how did I get to this point?
Trying hard to be okay But pains a habit I can’t stop
I’m running from my thoughts Cause their louder than the world
Every memory I carry has a razor hidden in it
Smile when it’s aching Say I’m fine but I’m faking Headphones in
Drowning out the noise They see the surface
Not the storm
They just see the mask I wear
I try to keep it in but there are cracks in the
mask now
No one checks when I go quiet
Guess they think I like the silence No they only see the
mask I wear
I try to hold it all inside
But I’m breaking every night
I wasn’t brave, I was afraid I just learned to hide the
pain
No one came, no one stayed I didn’t live,
I didn’t thrive I’m not strong
I just learned how to survive
