Grace in Korima

In 2009, two strangers met

By the plan our families made

You were shy, and I was nervous

But Allah knew the path we’d take

I looked at you and lost my breath Your beauty took my

heart away

I didn’t know what life would bring

But Allah knew that day

Korima, my special one

A blessing Allah gave to me Through every test,

through every joy

You are where my heart should be And if I don’t say

it every day

Please know what my heart has known I love you more than

life itself You made this house my home May 2010,

we said our vows

I remember how nervous you were

Two hearts beginning one new life

Trusting in the One above

And I remember Earl’s Court that day

Driving through that bus depot

Something whispered in my heart

“You’re the one I can’t let go”

The Great Wall beneath the sky

You were frightened on the cable car Hong Kong nights,

that special song A memory written in our hearts And Allah blessed

us with the journeys

Dubai, Qatar, Turkey, Saudi too

But every road we’ve travelled Was more beautiful with you

We’ve had our fights,

we’ve had our trials We’ve known sorrow,

we’ve known pain We’ve lost the ones we loved so dearly But

somehow we stood again

With sabr in the hardest moments And gratitude for every day Allah

gave us five beautiful children

And showed us another way

Korima, my special one A blessing Allah gave to me

Zara, Maya, Ali, Sofia,

Zeyna Our beautiful family

You’re a mother beyond compare

You love them more than life And when I see you with

our children

I thank Allah you’re my wife Loving,

kind and selfless Caring in everything you do You give your heart

to all of us And I pray Allah rewards you

For every tear nobody saw For every sacrifice you made For every

time you put us first May Allah bless you every day Korima,

my special one If I could choose this life again

I’d still pray to find your hand

I’d still choose you,

my friend Through every joy,

through every test

Until our journey’s done May Allah keep our hearts together And reunite

us when this life is gone So forgive me when I don’t

say it
