Well… that didn’t go according to plan. (haha)
Alarm clock screaming, coffee on the floor Missed the bus,
then I missed the door Neighbor’s dog has stolen my shoe And
somehow I’m already late for two My rent went up,
my car won’t start My best friend’s dating my cousin Mark I
could complain, but what’s the use?
By lunchtime I’ll have better news
‘Cause every day comes with a twist
You make a plan,
and then it gets dismissed
But when the whole thing falls apart That’s usually where the good
times start
That’s just life,
what can you do?
It throws a little crazy at you
You lose your keys,
you miss your train Then somebody makes you laugh again That’s just
life, and that’s okay We’ll figure it out along the way
When nothing goes the way you planned There’s always somebody reaching out
a hand
Dinner’s burning, someone’s at the door The phone won’t stop ringing anymore
My brother borrowed my favorite shirt And somehow made it ten times
worse We’re all a little strange inside We fake being cool,
but we don’t even try
And when the world gets much too loud There’s nowhere I’d rather
be than with this crowd ‘Cause every mess becomes a story
Every disaster gets a little less scary
And somehow, when the day is done We look back and laugh
at what we’ve become
Maybe we’re not
where we thought we’d be
Maybe that’s exactly where we’re supposed to be
A little mixed-up,
a little unsure But with the right people,
you can handle more
That’s just life,
what can you do?
It’s a little weird,
but it’s nothing new
We’ve had bad days,
we’ve had our share
But somehow there’s always somebody there
That’s just life, so come on in
You never know how the day will end The door is open,
the gang’s inside Pull up a chair and enjoy the ride!
(woohoo) That’s just life!
Wait… whose car is blocking the driveway? (MARK!)
