Safe in God I hide.
Why
say flee
like frightened birds,
To the mountain high?
Shadows hide the bow.
Wicked aim their sharpest shafts,
At the pure in heart.
Pillars fall to dust,
Good foundations break away.
What can good men do?
God is on His throne,
Watching from His holy place; Eyes test all on earth.
He tests righteous souls,
Hates the violent and unjust,
With a burning wrath.
Coals of fire fall,
Sulfur rains upon their heads.
Hot winds blow their doom.
God is on His throne,
Watching from His holy place; Eyes test all on earth.
He tests righteous souls,
Hates the violent and unjust,
With a burning wrath.
God loves what is just.
Righteous ones will see His face.
He is pure and good.
