  • Miss classroom enviornment

    Miss classroom enviornment

    darcey vantol

First period bell and the chaos begins Thirty faces looking up,

committing minor sins There is a girl in the back row who

just wants to spin Pirouettes by the window,

    where do I begin?

But the rest of Year Seven is a wall of sound

A thousand questions spinning 'round and 'round

    How do I spell this?

    What page are we on?

Can I go to the bathroom?

    The sanity is gone

    I absolutely hate

    this hour of the day

Oh, the dancer keeps moving while the world burns down And the

questions are drowning this tired old town I am standing at the

    whiteboard trying not to break

How much of Year Seven can one teacher take?

At table four the storm is starting to brew

The dancer and her friend have got fighting to do

    Throwing punches in the air,

    a chaotic display

While the quiet bookworm begs to read away

    She just wants the textbook,

    blocking out the noise

Ignoring all the screaming girls and rowdy shouts

    And looking out the window,

    past the school yard gate

Another wild distraction sealed by playground fate

    A stray dog is barking,

chasing someone fast A girl is running screaming,

hoping it won't last While the dancer keeps moving and the world

burns down And the questions are drowning this tired old town I

am standing at the whiteboard trying not to break

How much of Year Seven can one teacher take?

    Just read the textbook...

    Please stop fighting... Class dismissed
