God forgives… I DON'T.
You better know that
before you cross me.
God forgives… I WON'T.
If I were you,
I'd think twice before you try to cross me.
Not sacrilegious,
not sacrificial,
I'm just a man who walked through hell and came back with
a miracle.
Crucifix hanging from my neck,
reminder of the price— I'm not claiming I'm a saint,
I'm just thankful I'm alive.
I know I'm wrong.
I know I've sinned.
I know exactly what it cost.
But grace found me in the wreckage when I thought that I
was lost.
So don't mistake my scars for evil.
Don't confuse my rage with hate.
I've been standing at the gates of hell and watching demons hesitate.
'Cause He ain't on that cross!
HE AIN'T ON THAT CROSS!
He ain't buried in the tomb!
HE AIN'T IN THAT TOMB!
You can't keep the Son of God inside a box or in
a womb! The stone rolled away— the grave couldn't hold Him.
The King is coming back.
AND HELL BETTER KNOW IT.
THE CROSS! THE CROSS!
Put the cross up in their face!
Make the sign— OF THE CROSS!
Watch the darkness lose its place.
God forgives— I DON'T!
That's the warning when you cross me.
God forgives— I WON'T!
Better think twice before you try to cross me.
THE CROSS! THE CROSS!
I'm carrying it through the flames.
If the devil wants a war,
LET HIM KNOW THE NAME.
Bring the holy water—
NOT THE YELLOW TAPE!
This ain't a crime scene,
it's an exorcism taking place.
I got nightmares in the rearview,
I got demons at the door.
They keep asking me for pieces of the man I was before.
But I buried that old version.
Left his ashes in the past.
Every curse that tried to claim me found out I could make
it last.
I've been broken.
I've been beaten. I've been dragged across the floor.
But every time the darkness said 'You're finished,' I came back wanting
more. CROSS-FACE!
Put the cross in the demon's face!
CROSS-FACE! Watch that darkness lose its shape!
CROSS! Not a weapon— A REMINDER!
I'm not fighting with my fists.
I'm fighting what was living in the shadows of my mind. (YEAH!) (AHHH!)
Let go of my nightmares.
LET GO.
Turn my eyes toward God.
LOOK UP.
I don't need another enemy.
I need peace. I need grace.
I need something stronger than the hate inside my blood.
THE CROSS! THE CROSS!
Put the cross up in their face!
Make the sign— OF THE CROSS!
Watch the darkness lose its place.
God forgives— I DON'T!
That's the warning when you cross me.
God forgives— I WON'T!
Better think twice before you try to cross me. (AHHH!)
GOD FORGIVES.
I DON'T.
But I learned the difference
between vengeance— AND LETTING GO.
