The weight keeps getting heavier…
One more day. One more problem.
One more thing I can’t carry.
And I’m sinking…
I wake up underneath the weight,
Another day I have to face.
Bills, regrets, expectations, Everything is closing in.
I keep pretending I’m okay,
While everything inside decays.
Everybody says, “Keep going,” But they don’t feel what I feel.
I’m running out of air!
I’M SINKING!
The deeper I go,
The harder it gets to breathe.
I’m reaching for the surface—
BUT THE WORLD KEEPS PULLING ME!
I’M SINKING! Under the weight of life!
I’m drowning in the pressure Of trying to survive!
I’M SINKING! And I can’t see the light!
But even at the bottom— I’M STILL FIGHTING FOR MY LIFE!
I’m sinking! BUT I’M STILL BREATHING!
Another promise I can’t keep,
Another night without sleep.
I’m carrying the expectations
Of everyone but me.
I gave away everything I had,
Now I’m trying to get it back.
I’m suffocating underneath The life I’m supposed to love.
Tell me how much can I take Before I finally break?
HOW MUCH MORE?! The deeper I go,
The harder it gets to breathe.
I’m reaching for the surface— BUT THE WORLD KEEPS PULLING ME!
Maybe I don’t have to carry everything.
Maybe it’s okay To put some of it down.
Maybe asking for help
Doesn’t make me weak.
Maybe I don’t have to reach the surface alone.
I’M SINKING!
UNDER THE WEIGHT! I’M DROWNING!
UNDER THE PRESSURE! I CAN’T BREATHE!
BUT I WON’T— LET THIS LIFE BURY
ME!
(I’m still here!) (I’m still here!)
I’M SINKING!
Under the weight of life!
I’ve been drowning in the pressure,
I’ve
been fighting
every night! I’M SINKING!
But I can finally
see— I don’t have to fight this battle ALL ALONE!
I’m sinking! BUT I’M STILL BREATHING!
I’m sinking! BUT I’M STILL HERE!
The weight is still there…
But now I know— I don’t have to carry it alone.
I’m still breathing.
