One single copper coin falls to the pavement

here.

Dropped a copper coin,

heard the metal spin (tick

tick tick) In another town,

where the rails begin

A crowded tramcar slips off the track There is no turning back

I held a heavy door,

just to be polite Now a wedding is cancelled in the middle

of the night Every movement is a loaded gun

What have I done?

If I breathe, the sky will fall If I stand,

I crush them all

(no move)

I am frozen in the doorway,

paralyzed By the storm that I have

authorized

A sudden little sneeze,

a shiver in the cold A decade of conflict is suddenly on

hold

So I sit in the dark,

I do not make a sound Lest I bring the castle down
