(yee-haw!) I stepped inside the Golden Boot to have a quiet glass
But then a flying whiskey bottle shattered in the pass
Big Bill was staring down a man who spilled his draft beer
cold
And in three seconds flat,
a wild saloon brawl did unfold
A chair went splintering across the rugged wooden floor
Six guys from out of town were charging straight toward the door
I ducked beneath a swinging fist and threw a wild left hook
And soon the whole foundation of that dusty tavern shook
It was a knock-down drag-out,
a classic wild West scene
The hardest-hitting bar room fight this valley's ever seen
We were bruising, we were rolling,
swinging for the sky Fifty angry fellows with a wild look in
their eye! (hahaha)
When the dust had finally settled
and the smoke began to clear
All fifty of us groaning
in a puddle of spilled beer
I looked up from the floorboards
to find out why we fought
And saw the lovely lady
that we'd altogether sought
It was a knock-down drag-out,
a classic wild West scene
The hardest-hitting bar room fight this valley's ever seen
We were bruising, we were rolling,
swinging for the sky
Fifty angry fellows with a wild look in their eye!
She didn't glance at any of us laying on the floor
She grabbed a quiet stranger and she strolled right out the door!
(well, I'll be damned)
