Yeah, yeah (c'mon)
An angel descends from heaven,
holding in hand the key to the bottomless pit,
And a great chain,
imposing and fit, Seizing the dragon,
that old serpent called the Devil and Satan,
bound tight, He is cast into the pit,
shut up, sealed, for a thousand years,
no nations to incite.
For a thousand years,
the peace prevails, the tempter's deceit is no more,
Only for a little time released after,
to rally once more.
(oh yeah,
no more)
Thrones are set, and judgment is given,
Souls beheaded for Jesus’ witness live and reign,
unforgiven by worldly driven.
The faithful who did not worship the beast or its image,
Stand in righteousness, part of Christ's lineage.
But the rest of the dead lived not again till the thousand
years should end, This is the first resurrection; to eternal life they
ascend.
Blessed and holy are those who share in this first resurrection divine,
Over them, the second death has no power,
a promise sublime.
Priests of God and of Christ,
they reign with Him a thousand years,
When the thousand years expire,
Satan’s final deceiving appears.
(reign with Him!) Released,
he goes forth to deceive nations again,
Gog and Magog gather for battle,
upon the breadth of the plain.
Surrounding the beloved city,
the camp of the saints safe in God’s name,
But fire from God out of heaven devours them,
sealing their shame. The devil,
the deceiver, is cast into the lake of fire and brimstone,
Where the beast and false prophet lie in torment alone.
This shall be forever and ever,
no end to their plight,
For God’s justice reigns supreme,
His judgment a brilliant light.
A great white throne appears,
and Him that sat upon,
Before Earth and heaven fled away,
no more found anon.
The dead stand before God,
small and great, opened are the books wide,
Another book, the Book of Life,
by deeds they shall be tried.
(opened wide...)
