  • Abyssal Trumpets

    Abyssal Trumpets

    pure HI

    (yeah) (turn it up)

    When the fifth trumpet sounds,

a star falls from heaven's gate,

To earth, with a key to the abyss,

    sealing fate. (sing it sister!)

Smoke rises, darkening sun and air asunder,

Locusts emerge, with power like scorpions,

a dread wonder. Told not to harm the green earth or any

plant or tree, Only men without God's seal,

their torment decree. For five months,

agony akin to a scorpion sting,

    Men seek death without release,

    suffering's harsh ring.

Shapes like horses prepared for battle,

these locusts appear, Crowns of gold,

    faces like men, inducing fear.

    With hair like women's,

teeth as lions, breastplates of iron,

    Wings’ sound as chariots,

    drawn to war, deeply firing.

Their king, the angel of the bottomless pit,

    commands their course, In Hebrew,

    Abaddon; in Greek, Apollyon,

    the force.

    When the fifth trumpet sounds,

a star falls from heaven's gate,

To earth, with a key to the abyss,

    sealing fate. (oh yeah,

    seals the fate)

    The first woe is past,

    with two still to arise,

Prophetic and sombre, yet revealing truth in disguise.

The sixth trumpet unleashes four angels from Euphrates bound,

    Prepared for the hour,

    day, month, and year,

with a sound, They are released to slay a third of men,

A vast army, numbering twice ten thousand times ten.

Horses and riders, with breastplates fiery and blue,

    Heads of lions, fire,

smoke, sulfur issue in lethal view.

A third of mankind falls by these plagues mighty and dread,

Yet the rest do not repent,

    of their ways misled.

Idolatry and sorcery, their hearts remain ensnared,

In refusal to turn from immoral acts,

God declared. Revelation shows the depth of man’s insistent defiance,

    Eliciting a call to repent,

    seeking God’s reliance.

Merciful God, open our hearts to repentance and transformation.

Let us heed the warnings of Scripture and turn towards righteousness with

faith and humility. May Your Spirit guide us to align with Your

will, choosing life abundant in You.

    Amen. (Lord guide us) (amen)
