John, in the Spirit,
is called to ascend
A door in heaven opened,
beckoning him in
A throne set in heaven,
One seated there
Majesty brilliant,
beyond compare (ooh-ooh-ooh)
The One on the throne,
like jasper and sardine stone
Around the throne, a rainbow like emerald,
shown
Twenty-four elders in white robes arrayed Crowns of gold on their heads,
their allegiance displayed
Before the throne, a sea of glass,
clear as crystal
Four living creatures full of eyes,
more than a symbol
Lion, calf, human face,
and eagle in flight
Each one with six wings,
declaring day and night “Holy,
holy, holy,
Lord God Almighty
Which was, and is,
and is to come,” resounds rightly
All glory and honour,
power and might
Belongs to our God,
enthroned in heavenly light (ahhhh-ahhh)
The elders fall down
and cast their crowns low
In worship and reverence,
their devotion they show
“For You created
all things,” they cry
“By Your will they exist,
to You we draw nigh” Sovereign Lord,
majestic in holiness I stand in awe of Your infinite power I
join with the heavenly host in proclaiming Offer my life in humble
surrender
Amen (ooh-ooh-ooh)
