Quiet Steps

I used to watch the world go by,

While everyone was chasing light,

I never needed center stage,

I found my strength a different way.

One step forward, one step slow,

There are still so much things to know,

I don't have all the answers yet,

But I'm not finished with my story.

Maybe I don't need to shine,

Maybe I just need my time,

Every little step I take,

Is another page I make.

I'm the side character,

walking my own road,

Carrying my dreams and my little heavy load.

I don't need the spotlight,

I don't need the crown,

I'll keep moving quietly When the whole world gets loud.

And if tomorrow calls my name,

I'll be ready when it comes,

No, I don't need to be the hero— I'm becoming someone.

There'll be days I lose my way,

There'll be nights that test my faith,

But I'll laugh and start again,

That's how every chapter ends.

Friends beside me, sky above,

Small victories, people I love,

Maybe that's the life I choose,

A simple life with nothing to prove.

I don't have to run the race,

I can move at my own pace,

Every failure, every scar,

Shows me who I really am.

Maybe one day I'll look back,

At the person I once was,

And smile at every little step,

That brought me where I am.

No grand beginning, No perfect plan,

Just one more sunrise,

And I'll do what I can.

I'm the side character,

but this is my life,

Walking through the darkness,

reaching for the light.

I don't need the spotlight,

I don't need applause,

I'll grow a little stronger,

Every time I fall.

I'm the side character,

and I'm finally free,

I don't have to become somebody else to be me.

If this is my story,

Then let the pages turn,

I'll keep walking forward,

I'll keep living, I'll keep learning.

No spotlight... No crown...

No rush... Just me,

Walking my own road.
