I said just one weekend,

and he said ok

But after the weekend he wanted to stay.

I said one more weekend That’s all that you’ll find.

He grinned and said sure

But had love on his mind.

One more weekend.

One more day.

One more evening.

That’s what he’d say

One more night.

He said he won’t stay.

They told me that men

just want sex anyways,

How could I have guessed

that again he’d delay.

I wake up each morning

and he’s back at my door.

Why the hell did they tell me that men just want sex?

I went for the lie and now I’m walking the aisle.
