Clothed in Salvation
I will rejoice in HaShem my King,
My soul will sing of the life You bring.
You clothed me in garments of salvation,
Wrapped me in robes of righteousness.
As a bridegroom rejoices over his bride,
So You rejoice over Your people.
You will not be silent,
You will not rest,
Till Jerusalem shines in righteousness.
For Zion’s sake I will not be still,
For Jerusalem’s sake I will not cease.
Until her righteousness rises like the dawn,
And her salvation burns like a flame.
Clothed in salvation, crowned in Your grace,
Jerusalem shining in Your holy place.
You have remembered, You have not forgotten,
Your covenant love will endure.
You are our Redeemer,
mighty to save, Your arm is strong,
Your mercy remains. From generation to generation,
HaShem, Your faithfulness is sure.
The nations will see Your righteousness,
Kings will behold the glory You give.
You will call us by a new name,
Spoken by the mouth of HaShem.
No longer forgotten, no longer forsaken,
But called by the name of Your delight.
For You delight in Your people,
And Your land shall be called Your bride.
I have set watchmen upon Your walls,
They will never be silent by night or day.
They will remind You of Your promises,
And they will not give You rest.
Who is this coming from Edom,
With garments stained in victory?
It is the One who speaks in righteousness,
Mighty to save His people.
He saw there was no one to help,
His own arm brought salvation.
He remembered the days of old,
The mercy and love of His people.
In all their affliction,
He was not distant.
The Messenger of His presence Saved them in His love.
He carried them,
He lifted them,
All the days of old.
