Path to Renewal

How many times I've lost my way,

How many times I've fallen;

I wore a smile for all to see,

While tears fell in the silence.

No one knew the weight I held,

The words I couldn't say;

I thought that every door had closed,

And hope had slipped away.

I know I've made mistakes before,

But still I long to return;

No matter how deep the darkness falls,

I'll keep reaching for the light.

O Allah,

I'm coming back to You;

Through every fear and every tear,

In You I find my peace.

O Allah!

Lead me back again!

No matter how far I wander,

I'll keep searching for Your way.

I cannot change my yesterday,

But I can choose today;

As long as I am breathing,

There's still another way.

When all my strength is fading,

When I cannot see ahead,

I will not surrender hope,

I will turn to You instead.

Alhamdulillah—

For every blessing that remains.

Astaghfirullah— For every wrong and every stain.

O Allah!

Even broken, I will rise!

Through the tears and through the darkness,

I will keep my hope alive!

O Allah! I'm coming back to You!

Every time I lose my way,

I'll keep turning back to You!
