    Wisdom in Rhythm

    pure HI|1

    (ah yeah)

(ooh-ooh-ooh-yeah) The wicked flee though no one pursues,

But righteous folks are bold as the news.

A rebellious land has many a prince,

    Wise rulers bring stability hence.

A poor man who oppresses the less,

Is like a rain that leaves no bless.

Those who forsake the law praise the remiss,

    But those who keep it,

    they’ll never miss.

Evil men understand not what's fair,

Seekers of the Lord discern what’s rare.

Better the poor with integrity’s shine,

Than the rich whose ways intertwine.

A wise son obeys instruction right,

But he that eats amorous company will bite.

Charge not a usurer with gain's increase,

Kindness on the poor brings lasting peace.

When you’ll not listen to the law’s plea,

    Your very prayer’s abomination’s fee.

    Whoso leads the upright astray,

Will fall in his pit and waste away.

He whose walk is right will find high ground,

But wealth unjust will not stay sound.

A rich man may be wise in his own sight,

But a poor man finds him out alright.

When righteous rejoice, glory is bright,

    But when wicked rise,

people seek flight. He who covers sin won’t advance,

Confessing and forsaking brings a chance.

Happy is the man who fears alway,

    Hard-hearted men find trouble’s way.

A wicked ruler is a bear who mauls,

A prince without knowledge decimates all.

    A prince who’s hasty in greed’s flow,

Pities not the poor who reap what they sow.

He who avoids making transgression shone,

Finds prosperity and his way's known.

Rebuke the wise and favour you’ll gain,

    He who appreciates will attain.

He who takes goods by violence will lack,

Bringing no profit on his track.

Whoso walks blamelessly will be free,

    He who’s perverse goes suddenly.

He who tills his land has plenty’s reign,

Whoso seeks vanity shall lack again.

A faithful man in blessings will wealth,

    But faithless pursues destruction stealth.

To show partiality, it’s not a good deed,

    A man’s hand willing takes a bribe’s seed.

Trust in one’s own heart leads astray,

Wise men seek counsel on the way.

Give to the poor and you'll never lack,

    But hide your eyes,

    curses payback.

    When wicked men rise,

people run, But the righteous flourish in victory won.

    (victory won, yeah!) Lord Jesus,

You guide us to live wisely and walk righteously,

just as You embodied truth and light.

Help us to be just and fair,

    compassionate to the needy,

    and faithful in our dealings.

Open our hearts to Your wisdom and grace that leads to eternal

life. You are our refuge and foundation,

leading us from the snares of wrongdoing into Your glorious salvation.

    Amen.

    (hmmm, amen)
