Wisdom on the Rocks

Don't envy the wicked or desire their fate,
Destruction's their road, malice is their gate.
A house's foundation wisdom lays down,
By understanding it's firmly bound.
Through knowledge, rooms with riches are stacked,
All precious and pleasant treasures packed.
A wise man's strong,
power expands, Knowledge fortifies,
he surely stands.
Wisdom for your soul,
wisdom embraced (yeah, embrace it) Hope and future wisdom unveils
None hopes cut off,
all hopes entails
Waging war demands wise thought,
Victory through counsel must be sought.
Wisdom's high, beyond the fool's hand,
At the gate, he can't understand.
He plots evil, iniquities devise,
Is called a schemer in others' eyes.
Folly's design is sin,
disgrace, Mocker's an abomination to the race.
Faint in adversity, strength you lack,
Rescue those at death's attack.
If you claim, "Not aware of this mess," The heart knows motives,
all you confess. Your deeds are weighed by the Holy One,
Who'll repay as are your actions done.
Honey, my son, is good,
sweet to taste, Wisdom for your soul,
wisdom embraced.

None hopes cut off,
all hopes entails
Righteous man falls, but up he'll bring,
Seven times, rising in joy,
he'll sing. Rejoice not in your enemy's slip,
Or the Lord may turn attention,
flip. Don't worry about the evil's growth,
For the righteous, wrath swears his oath.
Fear the Lord, the King your solace,
Don't side with rebels,
disaster on their race.
The uprising of evil fools fail,
And sudden ruin shall prevail.
More also to the wise,
words clear, Partiality in judgment,
don't adhere.
To the wicked, don't say,
"You're in the right," People curse,
nations abhor this sight.
Rebuke the wicked, blessings convey,
Sweet kiss of honesty they'll repay.
Prepare your work outside in view,
Then build your house,
secure its value.
Don't be quick to testify false,
Don't plot against your neighbour's calls.
Vengeance by means of harm be gone,
Be righteous in heart,
in act drawn. I saw the field of the sluggard full,
The land overgrown, weeds it did pull.
Thorns everywhere, stone wall in fall,
I took it to heart,
wisdom's call. A little sleep,
slumber's embrace, Folded hands in rest's disgrace.
Poverty attacks like a prowler's charm,
Scarcity like an armed man's harm.
Lord Jesus, we come seeking Your wisdom,
desiring to build our lives upon the foundation of Your truth.
Help us to dwell in righteousness and shun evil's snare.
May our hearts be aligned with Your
purpose,
guided by the understanding and knowledge that You provide.
As we navigate life's storms,
strengthen us to rise in Your grace and shine as beacons of
hope. Let Your saving power and steadfast love anchor us,
now and forever.
