(Lord Jesus, we seek Your truth)

Wine's a mocker, strong drink deceives all,

Whoever's led by them will fall.

A king’s wrath roars like the wildest beast,

Provoking his anger, your safety will cease.

It’s an honour to avoid disputes' spill,

But fools will unleash anger’s chill.

The sluggard won’t plough in autumn's refrain,

During harvest he'll search,

but in vain.

(Ooh yeah) Counsel in a heart is deep and clear,

A man of understanding will draw it near.

Many claim love, steadfast and bright,

But a faithful man,

who finds him right?

The just walk integrity's way,

His children follow, blessed each day.

A king on the throne scatters evil bemused,

With his eyes, the wicked are refused.

Who can say, "I have cleansed my heart pure," From sin and

error, who can be sure?

Unequal weights, dishonest scales,

Are abomination where justice fails.

A child's actions show their heart’s breath,

Whether pure, or walking toward death.

Ears to hear, eyes to see,

Both the Lord made,

wondrously. (Aaaah-ooh-yeah)

Counsel in a heart is deep and clear,

A man of understanding will draw it near.

Many claim love, steadfast and bright,

But a faithful man,

who finds him right?

Lord Jesus, we seek Your unchanging truth and righteousness.

We entrust our lives to Your guidance and wisdom.

Help us to walk with integrity,

Refuge and Redeemer.
