Soft Answers Thrive

A soft answer turns away wrath,

Harsh words stir anger,

feels like a path.

Tongue of the wise brings knowledge fresh,

Mouths of the fools pour out foolishness.

The eyes of the Lord are everywhere,

Watching good and evil,

a mighty stare.

(ooh yeah) A healing tongue's a tree of life,

But a perverse tongue cuts with strife.

A fool rejects their parent's advice,

Receiving correction are the wise.

In the house of the righteous is treasure stored,

But trouble befalls the wicked's hoard.

A wise person's lips spread knowledge wide,

But fools know nothing good or right.

The Lord detests the sacrifice of the wicked,

Loves prayers of the upright,

always depicted.

The Lord abhors the wicked path,

He loves pursuers of righteous math.

Severe correction awaits those who stray,

Disregard for discipline leads them away.

A glad heart makes a cheerful face,

But heartache crushes spirit and grace.

Better a meal of herbs with love,
