The proverbs of Solomon,

lessons untold, A wise son makes a father’s heart bold.

A foolish son, with sorrow’s embrace,

Brings grief to his mother,

leaves a trace. Treasures of wickedness do not last,

But righteousness delivers, unsurpassed.

(Oh, the Lord won't let us fall!) The Lord

won’t let the righteous fall,

But the wicked’s cravings,

unsatisfied call.

Blessings on the head of the just,

(forever blessed)

Lazy hands make a man poor,

But diligence brings riches,

more and more. The wise gather in harvest’s light,

A son who sleeps brings shame at night.

Whoever walks in integrity,

security’s sure, But crooked paths lead to ropes obscure.

A wink of the eye causes much pain,

A prating fool falls under disdain.

The mouth of the righteous,

a fountain of life,

But violence cloaks the wicked in strife.

Hatred stirs up conflict,

love hides all wrong,

Wisdom on the lips to those who belong.

He who heeds correction is on the wise path,

But rejecting it brings a wave of wrath.

The tongue of the just,

choice silver it brings,

The heart of the wicked,

worthless things.

The blessing of the Lord makes rich today,

Adding no sorrow along the way.

The whirlwind blows, but gone are the hay,

While the righteous are forever here to stay.

Heavenly Father, walk through the proverbs of Solomon.

Jesus, our ultimate source of wisdom,

delivers us.
