Wisdom Warriors

(Yeah! Listen up!)

Children, hear the father's decree,

To understand, give ear to me.

Good instruction I provide,

Do not abandon what's prescribed.

For I was a son to my father's affection,

Tender and cherished, his direction.

He taught me wisdom’s prime focus,

"Keep my commandments, so your life’s fullest." Acquire wisdom,

let understanding be sought,

Forget not her words,

let them not be forgot.

Love her, and she'll guard your way,

Lift her high and you'll not stray.

Wisdom's principle, call it the best,

Gain understanding, this is your quest.

Exalt her, she’ll crown your days,

Honour brings glory, a blessed array.

(Yeah! Get wisdom!)

I teach the way of wisdom and truth,

Leading you in straight paths,

proof.

When you walk, your steps won't shrink,

When you run, not a stumble to think.

Take firm his instruction,

don't let go, For it's your life,

let wisdom flow.

Don't enter the path where the wicked tread,

Avoid their ways, or you'll be misled.

The wicked's sleep deprived 'til they act,

Violence and mischief like a snapped-back fact.

Their bread is wickedness,

the wine is wrong,

A path of darkness,

not where you belong.

But the path of the just,

shines bright, A morning light,

out of the night.

Listen, my son, keep my words in sight,

To those who find them,

life is their right.

Guard your heart, it's life's spring,

From lips, honest words must sing.

Don't let your eyes wander astray,

Look straight ahead, fix your way.

Ponder the path, think clear and fair,

Don’t turn aside, stay aware.

Avoid the evil, don’t even a glance,

Stay true and steady,

enhance your stance.

Heavenly Father, as back in the Torah Book Leviticus taught sacrifice for

redemption, grant us the wisdom here in Proverbs and the revelation to

see and we find its fulfilment in Jesus Christ,

our eternal Saviour.

Through Him, the darkness is dispelled,

and the way of salvation is revealed.

With heart and soul,

we come seeking grace,

acknowledging our need for His redeeming love.

Lead us

safely in Your wisdom,

Lord.
