Wisdom in the Streets

Hey, here come the Proverbs,

wisdom's delight, From Solomon's mind,

bringing truth to light.

Listen up kids, hear a father's voice,

Teaching knowledge, make the wise choice.

Fear the Lord, that's the start,

Knowledge begins, given from the heart.

Don't let sinners entice your way,

Stand firm in the path,

don't sway.

(stand firm) "Come with us," they say,

"let's lay in wait,

For the innocent blood,

let's seal their fate."

But don't join their path,

it leads to harm,

Stay on wisdom's journey,

you'll find charm. Wisdom shouts in the busy streets,

Crying loud, where the crowds meet.

"How long fools, will you love your scorn?

I've called, but you ignored,

as if forlorn." Turn to my reproof - behold,

I'll pour,

My spirit to you,

wisdom's true lore.

But because you despised my every call,

When trouble strikes, you'll watch and fall.

Whoever listens, dwells in peace,

Secure in His grace,

anxiety cease.

Heavenly Father, just as the sacrifices of back in the Torah Book

Leviticus pointed towards Your perfect holiness,

give us the wisdom and revelation here so we see in Jesus

our perfect sacrifice and

Saviour.

We acknowledge our sin and turn away,

embracing the salvation found in Christ alone.

May

His blood cover us,

and His righteousness be our guide.

We humbly submit our lives into His hands.
