Babylon’s Crew Rhythms

check it, we are in the land of Babylon,

King Nebuchadnezzar's reign, a new dawn.

He took some folks from Judah,

young and bright, Daniel and his pals,

ready to fight the good fight.

They were taught the ways of the Chaldeans' art,

With wisdom and knowledge,

they would play their part.

But the king wanted more,

he had a grand plan,

To feed them the food from his royal span.

"Eat from my table!" he said with a grin,

But Daniel had faith,

he knew where to begin.

He asked for veggies,

water to drink, "Test us for ten days,

give it a think!" So the king agreed,

they followed the call,

At the end of the trial,

they stood tall.

Better in health, with wisdom they shone,

Ten times smarter, their glory had grown.

(that's right) God gave them favour,

they were set apart,

Daniel interpreted dreams, with a wise heart.

In the king's court,

they found their way,

God's hand was with them,

day by day. Now listen up,

as we wrap this up tight,

Daniel's faith showed us to walk in the light.

Trust in the Lord,

for He's always near,

In trials and battles,

cast away fear.

Heavenly Father,

I come before You today,

Just as Daniel stood firm in faith,

I pray. I recognize Jesus,

my Saviour so true,

In every challenge,

I will trust and pursue.

You brought Him to earth,

a light in the dark,

With grace and mercy,

He ignites the spark.

I seek Your salvation,

Your love to embrace,

Guide me, O Lord,

in this sacred space.

In Jesus' name, I surrender my soul,

Make me whole, let Your love take control. (amen)
