The Hidden Work

Everybody remembers the beginning.

Everybody notices the ending.

Funny thing is— nobody saw the middle.

They saw day one,

then they skipped ahead years.

Didn't see the mornings when nobody fucking cared.

Same desk, same road,

same numbers barely moving,

Same idea getting rebuilt when there wasn't any proof yet.

Nothing worth posting, nothing looking impressive,

Just another tiny failure,

another tiny correction. Everybody loves the before-and-after picture— Nobody takes a picture

of the middle.

NOBODY SAW THE MIDDLE!

THE PART THAT TOOK THE LONGEST!

Everybody sees the finish,

nobody saw me walking toward it.

No fireworks, no headlines,

no crowd yelling my name— Just a thousand boring days STACKED UP

UNTIL THEY CHANGED! Nobody saw the middle!

That's alright, I fucking did.

Everything they call the story now— WAS BUILT WHEN NOTHING HAPPENED YET.

One more try, one more edit,

one more morning, one more lesson.

One more 'this ain't fucking working,' followed immediately by another session.

Months turn years, small moves disappear,

Till somebody sees the distance and asks how the hell you got

here.

There wasn't one big moment.

That's the part nobody gets.

It was boring repetition getting slightly fucking better.

Then one day they look around like something happened overnight— Nah.

You just weren't watching yet.

Same four notes.

Again.

Again.

Again. NOBODY SAW THE MIDDLE!

NOW LISTEN TO IT ROAR!

Every boring little day became another fucking floor.

Every time I kept repeating when there wasn't shit to show— THAT

WASN'T TIME BETWEEN THE STORY.

THAT WAS WHERE THE STORY GROWS!

Nobody saw the middle!

No spotlight, no applause.

Just keep showing up,

keep building, keep becoming what you are.

They'll remember where you started.

They'll remember where you went.

BUT EVERYTHING THAT MADE THE DIFFERENCE HAPPENED IN BETWEEN!
