I finally figured life out—
Scratch that. I figured out some of it.
...Enough to get started.
I had a five-year plan,
now I'm working day to day.
Thought I knew exactly where the road would lead the way.
Thought money fixed problems— it changes 'em.
Thought everybody riding with me came for the destination.
Thought getting older came with some kind of directions.
Turns out everybody's guessing while they're answering questions.
Thought every closed door meant
I wasn't getting through— Now half the doors I wanted ain't the
ones I'd fucking choose.
SCRATCH THAT!
RUN IT
BACK! Every time
I think I got life figured out,
something changes and I'm changing right back.
SCRATCH THAT! CHANGE THE TRACK!
If the road ain't going where I need it to go,
I ain't dying with the map.
Yesterday I would've sworn I knew exactly where I'm at— Today I'm
looking at the answer like,
SCRATCH THAT!
Thought success had a number,
hit the number—number moved.
Thought I'd feel different winning,
mostly found more shit to do.
Thought the people talking loudest probably knew something I didn't— Turns out
confidence gets pretty fucking loud when nobody checks it.
Thought failure meant stop,
now failure means edit.
Wrong turn, new route,
keep moving, don't regret it.
Used to need certainty before I'd make a move— Now give me
half a reason, I'll discover half the truth.
I changed my mind.
Changed my plans. Changed directions.
Changed who gets to ride when the whole thing starts moving.
Call it inconsistent. I call it learning fast.
If yesterday stops making sense today—
SCRATCH THAT!
SCRATCH THAT!
RUN IT BACK! Every wrong answer put another tool inside my hands.
SCRATCH THAT!
CHANGE THE TRACK!
If the plan stops working,
we ain't working for the plan!
I don't need the perfect road,
I just need somewhere to act— And whenever life changes the question—
SCRATCH THAT!
Run it back!
